World Food Day is celebrated annually on October 16th to raise awareness on the issue of hunger, malnutrition, sustainability, and food production.
This day was marked to celebrate the establishment of Food and Agriculture Organization(FAO) in the year 1979, as recommended by former Hungarian minister of agriculture and food Dr. Pal Romany.
